Full description
You will be picked up from your accommodation early in the morning to be at the gates of Arusha National Park by around 10:00AM. The drive to the park is short, and coffee plantations and small towns with their busy daily lives will keep you entertained for the 50-minute journey. Following your journey, you will turn off onto a gravel road and begin your ascent towards the park's gate. Once having arrived, an armed ranger will join your before your set out across the open plains for a leisurely morning walking safari in the shadows of Mt. Meru. Heading up the route of Mt. Meru will provide you with an interesting perspective on viewing wildlife, as well as provide you with great views of the park below. Once back down at the gate you will drive the short distance to the Momella lakes for a picnic lunch. Here, you can take enjoy a (optional) canoeing safari on the lake, or can continue with some afternoon game drives through the park at a relaxed pace. In the late afternoon, you’ll leave the park to head back to your accommodation.

- The best time to visit Arusha National Park is from June to September and December to March during the dry seasons.
